Odessa De Vries

My artistic practice is primarily abstract, I utilise a range of mixed media on canvas, paper and wood.

My painting process is often quick, sporadic and intuitive, based on many years of playful experimentation. I enjoy using tools and processes to create layers, textures and unique marks.

My current 2020 collection of artworks are heavily influenced by my recent travels in India and Nepal, where I saw an array of colourful fabrics as well as breathtaking temples and forts that starkly contrasted the devastating poverty and chaos.
