We are a small Brisbane-based business, born out of the Covid-19 lockdown, where one-half of us was stood-down from our full-time job. The time in isolation gave us a lot to think about, including our passions and future careers.
One half of us had always been creative, and the other more analytical. We found that there was a small gap in the market for ready-made gift boxes which didn't cost a weeks worth of savings and focused on quality Australian-made products. We put our two heads together and thus, Local Gift Co was born.
We are Australian-made. We order our packaging and all of our products from Australian-owned businesses. All of our products are ordered from small business from across Australia. We are passionate about Australian designers and creatives and are always on the look-out for more products to feature in our gift boxes.
We are also passionate about being environmentally-friendly. Whilst not all of our packaging or products are recyclable, we do aim to be as sustainable as possible. This is why our mailer bags are 100% compostable (just remember to peel off the address sticker). Our LocalGiftCo stickers are also 100% compostable!
