The silly season has well and truly begun and our calendars seem to be filling up for the month with more plans than we've had all year.
We're not going to lie, when it comes to Christmas and the craziness of it all we can be a little bit grinchy over here, but... there's nothing we love more than a Chrissy market to get us in the festive spirit. So we've rounded up 6 epic Christmas markets happening on the Sunshine Coast this season.
Whether you are new to the area or a Sunny Coast local chances are that you have visited Yandina, the quaint hinterland town filled with the best produce markets and funky vintage stores.
Now to add to their list of happening things they will be throwing an epic Christmas edition of their Twilight Markets. Supporting local artisans, creatives and sustainable business' they are bringing awareness to ethically and locally made products this Christmas.
There will be late night shopping in stores like Girls of Impanema and Stay wild Collective, as well as live music from the incredible Jesse Higgins and the beautiful duo Solua.
Head down and grab a meal from one of the lovely cafes/ bars in Yandina and have a wander at the oasis market.
One of our favourite markets to find the most amazing locally made wares, the Sunshine Coast Collective Markets have something for everyone. Right on time for the beginning of school holidays, with food trucks and musicians as well as a close by skate park, it's the perfect market to bring the kiddies along to.
If you don't know, now you know that Ebb & Flow have taken over the warehouse behind their already killer studio on Rene St and aptly named it Next Door. A collaborative space in the works, the warehouse features a wide open floor plan, with so much room for activities. And one of the first handful of events to be going down in said space is the their very own Makers Market.
Held on 16 December from 4-8pm. The ladies from Ebb & Flow have curated a selection of local makers and artists that we can shop from. You will be able to enjoy live music, bevvies by @boilingpotbrewingco , food by @blueplum.noosa and support some of the awesome creatives in our community by buying local this festive season!
A market of a different kind, the NightQuarter ChristmasQuarter has been created to celebrate the magic of Christmas with a multi-sensory and interactive adventure through a Christmas wonderland for families seeking the wonder of Christmas.
A waterfront market with live music, delicious food, unique arts and crafts, and much more. Get your last minute shopping done on Christmas eve-eve at the Caloundra Twilight Market. With local shops and restaurants on the Esplanade open for late night trading its the perfect spot to take spend the evening.
We can guarantee we aren't the only ones who's favourite part about Christmas is the food.. What better way to celebrate (and impress the fam) than with fresh produce on the table. We are so excited to see that Noosa Farmers Markets is having a special Christmas eve market for all the last minute goodies... fresh produce, dairy goods, bakeries, butchers, flowers and all the extra artisan foods they are famous for...
