The Essence of Sunshine & Salty Kisses is to capture sea, salt and soul. It was born from my love of surfing and the ocean.
From surfers to the natural wonders of the ocean including wave formations and wildlife. It is my happy place.
Hi Bec welcome to the Woman Of Series! Can you tell us what it is you create?
I'm a light chaser and moment capturer. Always chasing the magic of light and gifts from the ocean.
Talk us through your creative process. How do you reach your signature style?
My photography style is inspired by beautiful light and raw moments. Authenticity is important to me and I get joy from capturing something different from the norm. I adore any moody light that brings a sense of nostalgia and my style is very much influenced by film.
What is your big hope and dream for your work?
I would LOVE to work more with surf cultured sustainable brands and industries. I'd love to invest more in my equipment to allow me to do this for them. And one day if I could travel as well as make a living from photography in the surf industry that would just be amazing.
What are your top 3 superpowers?
Being a mum, juggling a part-time job and running my photography business.
We’re all about women inspiring women. Who inspires you?
Sunshine & Salty Kisses was born after attending Cait Miers Surf Photography workshop earlier this year in Byron. I love Cait's down-to-earth nature and her mission to empower women all around the world.
What advice would you impart on the next generation of women?
You have two homes, earth and your body. Take care of them (I read this quote once and it has always stuck with me).
